Supporting Jacob Thilges

Donation protected

Jacob Michael Thilges made his entrance into the world on April 27, 2019 at only 24 weeks 3 days gestation, weighing in at 1lb 5oz.  His precious mom, Ashley, suffered suddenly with severe preeclampsia and had to deliver Jacob via c-section.  Jacob faces a long road ahead in his development and is in the fight of his life.  He has endured one surgery and the future holds at least two to three, potentially more.  Additionally, he has pulmonary hypertension and severe chronic lung disease brought on by a pulmonary hemorrhage, multiple lung collapses, PIE, fluid and inflammation in his lungs, and his birth age.

Chris, Ashley, and Jacob have had to temporarily relocate to another city to give Jacob the best care possible.  While they are more than willing to do anything it takes to help their sweet little boy, this does come with a cost.  Our hope and prayer is that we can come together and ease the financial burden they face with the unexpected costs of housing, gas money for Chris to travel back and forth to another city for work, food, and medical expenses.  Doctors are predicting they will be in the hospital until mid-September, if not longer.

If you have the priviledge of knowing Chris or Ashley, you know they are two of the most loving and generous people around.  They are always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need without thinking twice about it, despite any sacrifices it may cause for them personally.  This is a chance for us to love, give generously, and come alongside of them in this unexpected journey they have found themselves on.  As a part of their family, we truly thank you in advance and want you to know every single dollar helps!

We continue to seek the Lord daily for strength, healing and peace as each day is a new day with new challenges and new causes for celebration for a baby in the NICU.  If you are able or unable to give financially, our greatest request is that you cry out to the Lord and pray He grants Jacob healing, healthy "normal" development, for the doctors and nurses who care for him around the clock, for his big brother Brayton, and for Chris and Ashley as they balance it all.

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:6-7
