Mary Boyett is an Instructional Assistant at St. Joseph School. On August 25, 2018, an unthinkable tragedy struck her family. Her nephew, Jonathan Smith, died in a car accident. This tragedy forever changed Mary’s sister and Jonathan’s mom, Tami Flores, causing her to suffer from depression. She became unable to take care of her other children, Alyssa, Jackie and Ryan.

Mary became the guardian of Alyssa while Jackie and Ryan went to stay with Mary's younger sister, Tracey. On January 1, 2021, Mary received a phone call that her sister Tami had passed away. 

The family members were devastated by their loss. Sadly, within a week of Tami’s passing, another heartache struck the family. Mary’s sister, Tracey Clark, the aunt who adopted Jackie and Ryan, passed away on January 8, 2021.

Without hesitation, Mary and her husband drove down to pick up Alyssa’s younger sister before Child Protective Services took over her care. Ryan continues to live with his adult cousin so that he can graduate from his current high school. As a result of these tragedies, Mary and her husband are now the guardians of Mary’s two nieces, Alyssa and Jackie. 

We have established this GoFundMe to support the welfare of Tami Flores’ two school-aged children, Alyssa and Jackie. 

Please open your heart to help these two young girls who need assistance for their current and future needs and well-being such as food, clothing, school supplies, and education fees.
