Supporting independent ethical businesses

Times are hard for ethical and sustainable brands.
With big brands coming to play in this space, greenwashed marketing messages confusing consumers, and political instability causing a drop in consumer spending, the brands that do things right are having to fight harder than ever to survive and thrive.
We're proud to bring a community of these brands together under the ethos that we "rise and thrive together", which is why we're investing as much of our time, energy and funds as possible into creating a supportive space and a successful platform where these small, independent brands can get the recognition and publicity they deserve, but may not be able to afford or achieve on their own.
We've started the Be The Change Awards as a more ethical way for small brands to get recognition and publicity, and in the last month alone we've reached over 10,000 people worldwide with the message that independent, ethical & sustainable businesses are worth supporting.
We're also running the UK's leading ethical fashion showcase again this year in London, as part of Fashion Revolution Week. Last year over 250 shoppers attended the event and Elle Magazine named it as the top fashion event of the week in London.
There's already been press interest in both events, which will be beneficial for all members of the community as the more headline space dedicated to ethical and sustainable brands, the more consumer interest this will create.
Everyone in the community is working hard to raise the profile of their causes, and we have a powerful voice and massive reach when we work together.
We know that times are tight for independent businesses, which is why we're keeping the cost to brands to an absolute minimum, so there are no barriers to entry and even the smallest brands can get involved and benefit from this platform and community.
However, creating this community, platform and events is financially costing over £11,000 and countless volunteer hours to make it happen. We've got some amazing sponsors and partners on board, but we also need your help.
Last year we had some fantastic support and smaller donations from members of the community keen to help make this happen, and we're asking for your support again this year.
These events are not-for-profit and every penny really does count when it comes to making them happen, so we'd appreciate any amount you can give. All supporters will be listed on our "Wall of Thanks' at the events in London on 26th and 27th April.
You can also support us, meet the community, network and collaborate by coming along to the events if you're local!
