We are concerned parents, friends, and family of the New Paltz Central School District. Recent events near and far have highlighted the need for greater inclusivity and support of our students & teachers. Please help us raise money to purchase more nonbinary & trans-inclusive, ethnically diverse, racial justice, and other justice-oriented books & resources for our libraries & classrooms. Our teachers, staff, and admin do A LOT, but we can help too!

Your donation will directly fund the purchase of materials that provide necessary representation, spark important conversations, help our students develop empathy, and foster a more welcoming and equitable learning environment.

By equipping our elementary, middle, and high schools with additional resources, we aim to ensure that every student feels seen, valued, and respected. Inclusivity must encompass ALL facets of our community, including religion, ethnic background, different abilities, neurotype, socioeconomic status, gender identity, and sexual orientation.

Feel free to drop your favorite titles or authors in the comments and we will pass the suggestions along. All final book selections will be made by the librarians for each school (to avoid too many duplicate copies and because they know best what each school needs).
