Hello I’m Cheyenne, Ian’s girlfriend. As most of you know, Ian got into a horrible motorcycle accident on November 9th when a car pulled out in front of him and he was unable to avoid the collision.
Even with all protective gear (helmet, padded jacket, gloves, and boots) Ian was thrown over 60 feet from his motorcycle. He currently is in critical condition, suffering multiple life-threatening injuries.
The injuries he sustained:
- His neck vertebrae , C2-C5, are fractured and his C6 will need to be replaced. Since it was destroyed. The surgeons said there may be possible paralysis.
- The first two days Ian was on 100% life support, but by the grace of God he is currently on 50% support.
- There is brain swelling.
- Several ribs are broken which has caused compression of lungs and a bruised heart..
- Both arms are broken in different places, left arm is broken at forearm and bicep area and dislocated at the shoulder, while right arm is broken at forearm.
- Left leg is broken and twisted backwards (first surgery was done to pin and set) and the right leg was so mangled, it was unable to be saved, which resulted in an above knee amputation.
- Pelvis has suffered a 3 inch split with rotation.
Currently, Ian does not have medical insurance, and there are many surgeries that he will have to go through along with intensive therapy when the time comes. I am asking for your help in order to help alleviate some of Ian’s financial obligations like, vehicle payments, vehicle insurance, utilities, and homeowners insurance.
Ian is my world, everyone loves him. He walks around with a smile on his face, compassionate, always willing to help anyone. He is an excellent big brother, leader, and keeps a positive view on life even though it hasn’t been an easy ride for him or his little brother, Dylan, who lost their mom to stage four cancer.
Mentally, physically this will be a long ride to recovery. Each day is critical for your prayers, support, sharing of Ian’s story, and any donations you can provide, during his healing journey. I am so grateful for your generosity, thank you so much.
