Hi, my name is Stephanie, and I am fundraising for Heather Dykstra Oliver. Many of you know Heather through her work as an Operating room charge nurse at Advent Health Parker. Heather is a wonderful, compassionate nurse. She is also so much more. Heather is a

dedicated, mother, friend, and wife. She is supportive of her coworkers and friends in so many ways. Heather has been there for so many of us in our times of need.

Recently, Heather has had to be hospitalized due to a bout of myocarditis. After several days at Advent Health Parker, she has required a higher level of care. She has continued to fight the good fight, but it is an uphill battle from here.

We are raising money to assist with Heather’s medical bills and expenses. Any contribution is greatly appreciated.

Update: Heather is set to go to OR today to have ECMO removed. She is staying strong, and we are all hopeful that she will be able to heal more every day! Thank you for all of your generous contributions!!

Update 3/31: Heather received her heart transplant late Friday night. (This also happened to be her father’s heavenly birthday.) Surgery lasted into early Saturday morning. She did very well, and was extubated Saturday. While her voice was weak, and she was still groggy, she called me Saturday morning to check in. It was so wonderful to hear her voice, and know she was okay. She is aware she has a long road of recovery ahead, but she’s tackling it head on. She is so thankful for everyone’s ongoing support. We all appreciate everyone’s continued support of Heather and her family. Happy Easter!!
