Supporting Harry and Kim through Cancer Treatment
Donation protected
I'm Natalie and I run Berkshire County Galaxy U13s football team. I'm raising money to support one of my players and his family through cancer treatment.
Harry joined my team this season but has also played for Manorcroft for a number of years.
His lovely mum Kim, has recently been diagnosed with breast cancer and will be undergoing a mastectomy at the beginning of April. Preventative treatment will then follow for a number of years. We know Kim is super strong and will get through this.
Harry has had a really tough 12 months. His dad suffered multiple strokes last year and whilst is recovering really well, he still has a long way to go to make a full recovery. Harry has had to cope with all this whilst navigating a step up to secondary school.
Football is a great way to bring communities together but also has a powerful and positive effect on mental health which is highly pertinent with young people today.
Therefore as a show of solidarity and to support Kim and Harry through this unimaginable period, I have arranged a Charity football match between the two teams, kindly hosted by Manorcroft on
Saturday 26th April
Manorcroft Hurricanes/ Spitfires v Berks County Galaxy
Venue: Manorcroft Football Club
KO: TBC
Money raised will be split 50/50 between Macmillan Cancer Support and Kim to help ease finances whilst she is recovering and enable them to spend some quality time together.
Let's bring both teams together ( for one match only) and show our support from both football families.
I found this picture that Harry drew (assuming it's not from his Yr8 English book) that describes Kim perfectly!
