Support for Hannah Deacon and her family

Some of you may be aware that our beautiful friend and much-loved colleague, Hannah Deacon, was recently diagnosed with cancer. She passed away with her loved ones by her side.

Hannah has touched the lives of many through her work in the medical cannabis space. Her campaign, on behalf of her son Alfie, played a pivotal role in the 2018 law change, allowing medical cannabis to be prescribed in the UK.

We need to support her as she supported not only her family, but many of us individually and of course the industry. The UK would not have an industry without her tireless efforts to get medicine for Alfie.

For those who wish to contribute, this page is to help cover some of the costs that will inevitably be incurred during this difficult time. This includes the necessary care for Alfie.

Every donation will go directly to her family Drew, Alfie and Annie to ease some of this financial pressure so she that can prioritise her recovery.

Hannah has fought tirelessly on behalf of patients and families across the UK for almost a decade. This is our chance to offer her family that same kindness.

This endeavour has been organised by friends and colleagues of Hannah who believe the family would benefit from financial support. While we continue to respect their privacy, we also recognise that the costs of supporting the family will continue to grow as Hannah’s transitioned.
