Supporting Habib's Siblings in Limbo

OUR STORY
As many of you know, this past week has involved a gargantuan effort to get three of Habib's siblings out of Afghanistan and to safety. Thanks to the incredible support that Habib's friends and other contacts in the media and military have lent us, Hosai, Hameed and Dewa were able to secure travel visas, access the Kabul airport and board a plane to the Netherlands where they must wait as part of the process involved with the US completing their P2 visas.
Now, we are asking for help supporting the three siblings financially while they are in limbo. They may have to wait in the Netherlands for up to 14 months before being able to settle in the US where they have relatives. When Kabul collapsed, the banks closed and the siblings were forced to leave without money. It is our hope that family and friends will consider donating towards the immediate living costs of the siblings in order to help cover basic rent and food costs. In addition to financial support, we are also looking for any contacts in the Netherlands who may be able to help with finding affordable housing and getting the siblings settled in.
Hosai, Hameed and Dewa are phenomenal young people whose strength and endurance have carried them this far. While we know it can often take up to a year or more, we have hope that their journey will be quick to bring them States side, where they will have the freedom and opportunity to live out their full potential as individuals. Your help in making this happen will be met with eternal gratitude.
Any funds we raise that exceed the acute needs of the siblings will be redirected to other Afghan family members and friends who are in similar situations of being in limbo in third countries and awaiting the processing of their visas. There are many!
