Post-Surgery Update for Greg Scott
We wanted to share an update on our dad and thank everyone who has already been praying and supporting our family.
On Tuesday, July 15th, our dad underwent a quadruple bypass surgery. We’re so thankful to report that the surgery went well, and he was able to come home from the hospital on Sunday, the 20th. He’s doing well overall, but as many of you know, recovery from open-heart surgery is a long and careful process.
As a self-employed contractor, our dad won’t be able to return to work for 2–3 months. He is the main provider for both himself and our mom, and with him unable to work, this time is placing a real financial strain on them. Our greatest hope is that he can focus on healing without feeling pressured to return to work too soon and risk setbacks in his recovery. If you know our dad, you know he’s someone who gives selflessly — always the first to lend a hand, help a friend, or serve however he can. He would never ask for help for himself, but right now, he needs us.
We are asking our church family, friends, and community to come around him during this time — through prayer, encouragement, and, if you feel led and are able, financial support via our GoFundMe. Any help toward their bills over the next couple months would make a big difference in lifting the burden and allowing him to rest and heal fully.
Also, for those who may not know, our mom serves faithfully in the preschool Sunday school at Risen King every other Sunday. This is a family that gives so much of themselves to others, and we would be so grateful to see our community come together and support them in this season.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Your prayers and support mean the world to us
