Hello Everyone. Many of you know my grandmother as Ms. Bella, while we know her as Wonder Woman. My grandma has always been a provider for herself, her family, her community, friends of friends, etc. But over the past few months, especially here within recent weeks, our grandma (“Gigi”), mother, aunt, friend, has become overwhelmed with her declining health.

On May 7th, my Grandma Bella will have an operation to replace her aortic valve as her heart is extremely weak—functioning at 15% with a severe blockage. Her doctors are hopeful that this valve replacement will improve her quality of life, though they have prepared us for the reality that this procedure may not solve every challenge ahead. Alongside her ongoing heart issues, other health complications have taken a tremendous toll physically and emotionally over the years. Her heart, her body, and her mind are simply tired.

Even so, she continues to love fiercely, care deeply, and be a source of strength for everyone around her.

Grandma Bella is my best friend — and honestly, I think our whole family would say the same. I have never experienced, and likely never will experience, a friendship and bond as beautiful as the one I share with her. She is the most authentic, selfless, hardworking, loving, and loyal person… and the list could truly go on forever.

She is so very deserving of the chance to rest and recover without the added burden of financial stress. She continues to carry the weight of a part-time job at 79 and is known to never ask for help. During this difficult time, we hope to surround her with the same love and support she has always given to others.

All funds will go towards immediate bills, gas, groceries, prescriptions, etc. to supplement affected income.

We are all aware that there are so many people experiencing financial hardship, too. Today’s world is not kind nor merciful. If you are not able to donate, we ask for prayers, positive energy/uplifting words, and a quick share.
