Supporting Graham and His Fam
Donation protected
After a much-anticipated trip to Disney World with both sides of their family, Michael and Julia noticed that Graham wasn’t feeling well the morning they were scheduled to start the drive back home to Ohio. They hurried to get on the road and get Graham closer to Cincinnati Children’s.
After several setbacks on the road (Graham’s portable oxygen concentrator stopped working, leaving them with only a few hours of oxygen for Graham), they stopped near Macon, Georgia. Graham became lethargic and was rushed to a local hospital, where he was then care flighted to Children’s Hospital of Atlanta. Thankfully, Julia’s parents were traveling with them and could help drive a car and take care of Graham’s 4 month old sister.
Graham has been in the PICU since early Saturday (2/24) morning in critical condition. Our prayer is that he can stabilize enough and hit criteria to be care flighted to Cincinnati Children’s, where his medical team is waiting and Michael and Julia would be closer to home. Each day is an emotional rollercoaster, with baby steps forward and setbacks.
Michael’s parents were able to travel from Maine, and I (Julia’s sister) was able to travel to Atlanta for the weekend to help care for baby Ruby.
The hardship of having Graham hospitalized far from home is compounded with the financial burdens, including hotel rooms for multiple nights for Julia and Michael’s much-needed support system, hospital parking, ordering in food, and the list goes on.
We’d love to raise money for Michael and Julia and their support system to help carry this heavy burden. From the bottom of our hearts, we can’t thank you for your love, prayers, and support!
