Supporting Gillian Through Stage 4 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma

Hey everyone,

A little over a month ago my wife, Gillian, was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. Despite feeling well, testing revealed that the cancer has spread from her lymph nodes to her lungs indicating stage 4 disease. The months ahead will be very tough as she goes through chemo and immunotherapy treatments.

The timing of a diagnosis like this is never ideal, but we are also currently juggling the life-changing endeavor of opening up our brick and mortar restaurant, Masa Luna — something we’ve been dreaming of for a long time. Gillian wants to continue working at her current non-profit job at Keep Omaha Beautiful teaching kids and also wants to contribute what she can at the new place, but we expect that treatment will take a lot out of her. With all the medical bills and her ability to work being limited until at least September, we’re facing a lot of uncertainty at the moment.
