Hi my name is Di and I am Group Fitness manager at Goodlife Burleigh Waters. This fundraiser is for our friend, colleague and trainer Gemma Henly who was recently diagnosed with Ovarian cancer. As her Goodlife family, we would love to rally around Gemma to help her through this challenging time.

Gemma has been a much loved and valued Personal Trainer & instructor in our gym for almost 6 years, dedicating her life to helping others. Recently, after a routine check-up for minor symptoms, Gemma received the devastating news that she has been diagnosed with ovarian cancer at just 30 years of age. As someone who has always lived a healthy, active lifestyle, this was truly an unexpected and heartbreaking turn of events.

Gemma has already undergone surgery to remove the cancer, but her journey isn’t over yet. She will need ongoing treatment to ensure the cancer doesn't return, and unfortunately, the surgery and the treatment are both physically and financially challenging. Gemma has not only been affected by the high costs of treatment but has lost her only source of income by not being able to operate her Personal training business

We’re asking for your support to help Gemma focus on her healing over the next few months, so she can return to doing what she loves. Any contribution, no matter how big or small, will make a world of difference in helping Gemma through this difficult time.
