Supporting Nurse Kaylin’s fight for life in the CVICU.

My name is Whitney Lewis (Combs). I am Kaylin Combs Eastwood’s oldest sister. Our mom mentioned to me to start a GoFundMe for my sister Kaylin and her family to support them during and beyond her medical treatments, as many friends, acquaintances, and strangers have been asking how to help.

On Tuesday, July 8th, Kaylin went in for an outpatient surgery to repair her previous C-section site and clear endometriosis after a long, trying process and struggle with infertility. That procedure turned into a nightmare.

Kaylin is fighting for her life in the CVICU after a medical “mishap” and infiltration of infection necrotizing fasciitis.

The future needs are unknown at this time as she is still in a medically induced coma and on life support to allow her body to begin healing. However, we do know that she will need multiple system therapies, appointments, and care for herself day to day, her husband, daughter, and home.

These funds will go directly to her husband to help with lodging, food, gas, and lost time from work while they are both unable to do so.

Kaylin is a bright, talented, kind, caring, vivacious 33-year-old Christian, wife, mom to kind beautiful sassy 3 year old, daughter, daughter-in-law, granddaughter, sister, friend, and RN/nurse educator who fully submerges herself into all of those roles and takes them very seriously. Her zeal for life and others is infectious, and we cannot wait to see her bright smile again.

To know Kaylin is to love Kaylin.

We know that her rehab and recovery will be a lengthy journey and do not want her, her husband, or daughter to have to worry about a thing.

Thank you for your consideration to donate, and if you are unable to donate, please continue in prayer for her healing.

1 John 5:14-15
"This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him."
