In late 2019 Faustino Franco started getting ill and has been in and out of hospital since. He was diagnosed with colon cancer in early 2020 and needed to have it surgically removed. Due to other medical conditions and complications the surgery needed to be coordinated with various physicians, as his physicians worked towards that, the pandemic came, with so many unknowns of the Covid 19 and Faustino's already pre-existing conditions, the surgery was postponed until late summer. After his surgery, things started to look promising and he was on a path to begin cancer therapies and was even home for a few weeks. Unfortunately things didn't go as planned. Due to several medical complications he is now in need of a second surgery and his Cancer therapies have been put off again. He is currently in hospital again and will soon have the second surgery.
Since he hasn't been able to work and although he has medical insurance, he was the main source of income. His wife Hilaria continues to work but has had to take many unpaid days to be by his side. In the meantime, medical bills, insurance premiums and monthly bills continue to pile up. I am asking for any small donation you can make to ease some of the financial strain and give Faustino some relief to help them stay focused on his health and the fight that is still ahead of them. Faustino is one of the hardest working man I know. He would work 12 or more hour shifts, five days a week to provide for his family.
No amount is not too small and we truly appreciate your donations.
Sincerely
Franco extended family
