Supporting Everardo Through Cancer

Everardo Ruelas and his family have been fighting an uphill battle in the medical system to get care. After waiting for referrals and appointments, his wife decided to seek help from doctors in Mexico who diagnosed him with a brain tumor. While they were there, they were able to discover more about his condition in a weeks time than doctors could in the U.S. over the span of months but without insurance, they were not able to continue seeking care in Mexico. Time has not been on our side at this time, and since his tumor has been getting larger and impacting his brain and normal functions, he has finally gotten surgery.

This is such a challenging position for his family to be in due to the fact that he is the main provider for the household. With the additional weight of financial responsibilities they are taking on, they need help tackling all these new medical bills.

Everardo is known for his kind and generous disposition and has always been so hardworking and dedicated to providing for his family and those he loves. He is still young and would love for nothing but to be able to recover, retire and enjoy all his hard work throughout his life with his family- especially his grandkids!

We are asking for any donations, big or small, to help him get the care he deserves and ease the financial burden for his family.

UPDATE:

Everardo is being cleared to come home in a couple weeks and his family needs help making their home accessible and safe for him as he regains mobility and begins his next journey to getting on his feet.
