Supporting Erik Ellefsen's family

For those of you who haven't heard, Erik (Elfy) Ellefsen, at 28 years old, was tragically taken from us entirely too early in an unavoidable car accident. This accident occurred at about 7:45 pm on 8/23/17 at Shea and 60th place and Erik was later released to the heavens by his mother, brother, grandparents, and closest friends on 8/25/17 at 8:25 pm.  The decision did not come easy but after his quality of life was considered carefully, along with his choice of being a donor, everybody knew it is what he would have wanted.  With this being said, Erik now lives on very strong inside of several people throughout the U.S., but most importantly, Erik now successfully provides his Uncle Mark with a very strong and much needed kidney to provide him with quality of life for the rest of his years here with us. 

          The family has also lost Erik's father within the last 3 years, and as you can imagine, times have not been easy for them emotionally, as well as financially. As I'm sure you can all imagine, a hospital bill for being in surgery and ICU for two days before passing, along with cremation and other expenses, the family could really use our help right now.

This goal does not even come close to covering the loss of a son or a brother...... But, for the family to be able to have just a little bit more time to grieve and be able to come to terms with what has happened and properly take care of Erik's body and belongings we are asking for any help that you may be able to provide at this time. Whether you are able to help at this time or not, we will still be providing an updated celebration of life event information as soon as things have been able to be sorted out further.
