Erica was diagnosed with Breast Cancer back in July of 2013. Since then she has had several surgeries to remove areas of concern. Following that, she had a re-scan and results showed clear margins.
In May of 2014 Erica went to the doctor with some excruciating back pain that she thought was due to a possible broken rib, unfortunately, to find out that her cancer was back in her bones.
Erica at this time was highly recommended to take radiation therapy due to what the doctor called, "an emergency situation". Erica then was prescribed radiation everyday for a 6 week period.
After radiation Erica again, was highly recommended to do chemotherapy, which she chose to do. Fast forward through the two and a half years of chemo and we are to the point we are today.
Today, Erica is in Houston at MD Anderson Hospital fighting through the latest bump in the road. We were told a few weeks ago that she was no longer able to receive chemo. So the family loaded up and went to Houston the next day for a second opinion. Through all the testing that was done, they found out that the cancer has spread to her brain. She immediately started 10 days of radiation.

The McKinney family is a family of 4 beautiful people, inside and out, Tater, Erica's husband and two precious children, Tyler, 15 years old, and Allie, 12 years old.
You are supporting a family that has never taken their focus off of their faith in Jesus Christ through this entire journey. No matter the pain Erica was in, she continued to support her family on a daily basis by homeschooling her children, traveling all over Texas watching her husband and son rope and just being there for all her family and friends.
