Supporting Eric & Mimi’s family through life’s plot twists

Donation protected
Hi everyone,

For those who may not know, my husband Eric served in the Navy, where he was highly exposed to AFFF, a chemical that has caused severe health issues over time. Eric’s health has continually declined and in the last year he had to stop working altogether and was bed bound for the better part of a year. He is improving and we’re happy for that, but this illness continues to be ultra sensitive, and keeping Eric healthy is an extremely delicate balancing act. Life has sure been challenging for our family, with 4 out of 8 kids facing chronic life-threatening illnesses, some days really do feel impossible. While taking care of this family is more than a full time job, I wouldn’t trade it for the world, we LOVE our life, even when it’s hard, and more than anything in the world, Eric and I love eachother desperately. We know how blessed we are to have eachother and we don’t take it for granted, not ever. These hardships that seem to never stop coming are the defining moments in our life, and we’ll never forget how each has changed us, the life lessons we were able to take away, and the people that were there for us.

In January, I broke my right hand, badly. I had surgery and, because I’m an over achiever, I then injured the same hand again not once, but twice, adding another broken bone and a torn ligament to my already impressive medical chart. The timing couldn’t have been worse, our house had just flooded and we had to move. Our main source of income was my eyelash extensions business, but with this injury, that is still unfortunately out of the question. So in short, here we are, in a very tough financial spot as we wait for Eric’s disability to come through, and so I’m asking for your help.

While some days we do feel like we’re on our way up, there’s no question that we could really use help getting through the months of waiting for VA disability, especially with Christmas around the corner. Any donation, no matter the size, would make a world of difference for our family. We have big plans for the next year, and are hoping to move out of the city, so that I can get my cowboy back on a horse. Any contribution no matter how small will help, and if you can’t help us financially, we are just as happy with prayers, because we know that those are better than money anyways.

Thank you so much for being here for us.

With gratitude,
Mimi Glover
