My name is Gigi Endersby, and I am Eric’s sister. I am creating this fundraiser to support my brother after the sudden and unexpected passing of his longtime partner, Tim. Read their story here.......

Eric Endersby and Tim Ramos shared 25 years of life together.

They met while Eric was in college through a Yahoo group called Gen X Bears. What began there grew into a life filled with ordinary days, highs and lows, laughter, inside jokes, shared memories, love, and plans they truly believed were still ahead of them.

Tim was Eric’s constant companion, his best friend, and his rock.

He was sweet, loving, empathetic, witty, smart, and always trying to bring a smile to someone’s face. Tim had a way of making people feel good simply by being in his presence. He was caring, welcoming, and easy to be around.

Eric and Tim loved watching movies and shows together, spending time with friends and family, game nights, joking with each other, and embracing their shared love of all things nerdy—including games and comic book movies.

Their friends often joked about “Tim and Eric Awesome Show” but what people remember most about them was their devotion to one another.

Friends have described them as soulmates. Together, they had something special—peaceful, balanced, mature, affectionate, and completely organic. They were the kind of couple that made other people feel hopeful about what a loving partnership could look like. There was no pretense, no drama, and no bad energy. They were simply two people who loved each other deeply and made the people around them feel welcome.

They still had so much they planned to do together. They talked about more trips, returning to Japan, and spending more time visiting Tim’s family in San Antonio. They expected more years, more movies, more family gatherings, more inside jokes, and more ordinary days together.

Instead, Eric’s entire life changed overnight.

He is now grieving not only the person he loved, but also the life they built together over 25 years.

In the midst of this profound loss, Eric is also facing immediate financial challenges. As a contract worker, he does not receive paid time off or employee benefits, which means every day he needs away from work to grieve also means lost income. He is also facing Tim’s final and cremation expenses, the loss of Tim’s share of their household expenses, moving and storage costs, and the everyday expenses that continue even when life has suddenly come to a halt.

Eric is overwhelmed. He is also someone who would not normally ask others for help. He has spent much of his life being the person who shows up for others, and right now our family wants to give him the space to grieve without the added fear of how he will manage everything financially.

If Eric could say one thing to Tim right now, it would simply be:

“Thank you for your patience with me and for always being supportive.”
