Today, at 12 years old, Emily is an incredibly loving, caring and creative girl—but she has her struggles.

Because of events that occurred during birth with being confirmed with Chorioamnionitis and sepsis which unfortunately caused oxygen deprivation leading to developmental and sensory disabilities causing Emily to be diagnosed with intellectual and developmental delays and behavioral conditions. Emily has struggled with learning due to her disabilities including socially. She lives in a constant state of overwhelm and often requires more redirection and her cognitive learning is significantly less than her peers at this stage of the game . She often feels like she’s “not good enough or smart enough,” and despite all the support and love around her, she struggles with decision-making, behavior, and self-confidence in ways that impact her daily life.

As her mom, I have done everything I can—therapy, resources, support systems—but we’ve reached a point where he needs something more intensive than what we can provide at home. Trust me it is not easy for me to even ask for help but with Emily getting closer to highschool I would love to provide her with the best chance for success.

Currently she is to go into the pathways program where she can be allowed to be in highschool until she is 21 with other students in a similar situation.

While I am fully aware of her limitations and cognitive challenges, I believe it is important to focus on providing her with every available opportunity for growth and success. As such, I would like to explore opportunities such as tutoring and therapeutic programming to provide her with additional support and improve her chances of success both academically and personally. That is why I am seeking to enroll Emily in SARI Therapeutic program, in addition to Oxford Learning, as I believe these programs can offer valuable support for her development, confidence, and overall well-being.

This is not a typical camp.

It is a 8-12 week intensive therapeutic program designed specifically for kids like Emily.

At Sari, she will receive:

Individual therapy

Group therapy

Daily structure and behavioral support

Adventure-based therapy to build confidence

A safe environment to practice new skills in real time

This program is designed to help kids:

Build confidence

Develop better decision-making skills

Process trauma

Create lasting behavioral change

Life Skills

The total cost of the program/session is approximately $468-676 x 4-5 in a year.

The total cost $1,872.00- $3,380.00

Tutoring is a minimum $50/ session x 2 /week = $100 weekly.

I would love to have her receive a full year of support while going into her last year of elementary school. Which would be roughly $4,000.00

As hard as it is for me to ask, I cannot do this alone and I find advocating and perhaps asking for help will allow her the opportunity.

If we can make this happen, my hope is that Emily will be able to start highschool (2028) with the tools, confidence, and stability she needs to succeed—not just in school, but in life.
