Supporting Emily: A Year-Long Battle Against Lymphoma
Donation protected
Our 21-year-old daughter, Emily was diagnosed a little over a year ago with stage 4 high-grade b-cell lymphoma. Emily went through 3 failed chemotherapy treatments, a semi-successful CAR T transplant, a successful clinical trial involving a chemo regimen, full body radiation, and a stem cell transplant. She is currently doing targeted radiation and undergoing more chemotherapy to hopefully bring her into full remission. Over the last year, she has spent 215 nights in the hospital and another 65 nights in a hotel while we stayed close to the UAMS in Little Rock for stem cell transplant recovery.
It is with a heavy heart that we are reaching out to you for support. We've reached a critical point in our journey and find ourselves facing overwhelming financial challenges. The ongoing treatments, including radiation, frequent labs, and chemotherapy in Little Rock, have placed an immense strain on our finances. The daily commute to and from Little Rock is adding significant cost in gas, maintenance, and repairs on our vehicle, on top of the already staggering medical expenses and still trying to maintain our household bills and mortgage. Any support you can offer will directly help with bills, travel costs and basic living expenses. We understand times are tough and we appreciate your generosity, more than words can truly say.
Thank you for your love, prayers and support
