Supporting Ella and Layla Messick

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we share with you the passing of our friend and colleague, Chris Messick. We tragically lost Chris in a car accident late Monday night. As we all work through our grief, it is our hope no one loses sight of the tremendous loss Chris’ daughters, Ella and Layla, are experiencing. The pride and love he had for those girls was paramount and you could feel his passion when he spoke of them, and he was always happy to share their stories.

We know Ella and Layla have amazing family support and they will be raised with much love and care, and with those strong family values, they will get through this. We hope that, as a family/community, we can come together in this difficult time and provide a financial future to lighten the load for the girls as they become young adults. Nothing can ever replace a parent, but giving Ella and Layla a financial start for a vehicle, college tuition, or even their first home might be the best gift we could ever give Chris.

Although many of us knew Chris from a more professional side, he was always the light in the room, the guy with the joke, and a lot of the time… the reason you hung out a little longer than you planned. Let’s never forget the passion and commitment that he brought to everything he did. Now it’s our turn… Let’s dive into those girls and give them the same commitment we know he would give!

Every donation made through this fundraiser will be shared between Ella and Layla and these funds will be invested for their futures.
