Our beloved colleague and dear friend Elia was recently diagnosed with ALS and Frontotemporal Dementia. Elia has devoted her life to helping and caring for others as an oncology nurse, mother, sister, wife, and friend. Elia’s immeasurable strength will be put to the test as she deals with the realities of her new diagnosis which leaves her unable to work. The funds raised through this campaign will support Elia and her daughters (ages 11 and 7) with the extraordinary costs of living with ALS and FTD. Due to the nature of Elia's illness, Elia has legally established her sister Araceli Martinez as her POA to help manage these funds.
