Hi! My name is Madison and I am volunteering as an English teacher for the NGO New Dream of Cambodian Children Organization. This is a school in Siem Reap Cambodia that teaches English to children who cannot access public education due to poverty. Families must pay for their children to go to school in Cambodia and as a result many children don’t have the opportunity to get any form of education.

This NGO not only supports children through education but also provides food security. The incredible founder and principle of this school, Kim, consistently strives to expand outreach to more children and has dedicated his life to helping others. He has been able to build an inspiring place for children to learn and continues to build houses for the homeless and make food deliveries all while also funding a school with 370+ children.

As a result of the conflict between Thailand and Cambodia, the school is lacking funds and volunteers to continue its operation. Currently, food resources are only available to feed the students 2 days a week.

My taking part as a teacher is only a small contribution to their mission. I will be making a donation to this organization and if you feel inspired by their work I would greatly appreciate any contribution you would like to make.
