Supporting Dr. Terrie Huls' Fight Against Cancer

Donation protected
Dr. Terrie Huls has devoted her life to helping people through chiropractic and acupuncture care. She has seen and helped thousands of people over her 30+ years of being a chiropractic doctor.

In March 2021, she was diagnosed with lung cancer.
In June 2021, she had surgery to remove the upper lobe of her right lung at Cleveland Clinic. The surgery was successful, and no other chemotherapy or radiation was needed at the time.

Around June or July of 2023, Terrie developed Bell’s Palsy-like symptoms on the right side of her face. Those symptoms can last weeks or even months for some people, so when they didn’t go away immediately, it didn’t raise any red flags. However, when she didn’t see any improvement over the course of 4-6 weeks, she felt it was time to see a neurologist regarding a potential stroke.
In late September 2023, she consulted a neurologist in Washington, PA, and stroke was determined to be a low probability.
In November 2023, an MRI of the brain revealed a mass in the left hemisphere that looked like a tumor approximately 2 cm in diameter.
In January 2024, a follow-up MRI was performed, and it was determined that the tumor was most likely a solitary metastasis from her previous lung tumor that was removed surgically in June 2021.

Statistically, the brain is the most common place for lung tumors to spread.
They also have a very poor prognosis for both length of life and quality of life.

In February and March 2024, Terrie sought treatment at Brio-Medical in Scottsdale, AZ.

In August 2024, her facial droop worsened, she developed a decrease in swallowing, increased tinnitus in her ears, numbness and tingling in her right fingers and thumb which made her handwriting worsen, decreased fine motor skills, becoming easily fatigued, and feeling spaced out.

She is currently in Houston, TX receiving more treatment. She had to have a surgical port put into the veins going into her heart so that she can pump infusions six times a day right now.

Learning how to do all of that is stressful in itself, but adding in the financial stresses and then still working when she should be resting and healing..it's taking a large toll on her physically and mentally.

Terrie isn't someone who asks for help. She's the one that always gives it. But right now, she could really use some help to ease the financial costs. She would greatly appreciate any kind of support, whether it's financial or even just a prayer for healing.

We thank you from the bottom of our hearts! God bless.
