Supporting Doug Through Rehabilitation
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Tiffany Snyder, and my brother and I are raising funds to help our dad through his rehabilitation after a horrific car accident. He severely injured his spinal cord and is now in a wheelchair as an incomplete quadriplegic. He has been at the San Juan Rehabilitation Hospital in Farmington, New Mexico, for the last three weeks. He is now awaiting admission to either a long-term rehabilitation facility or a skilled nursing facility to continue the extensive physical therapy that is necessary if he is ever to regain significant use and control over his arms, legs, and bodily functions.
Our dad would never ask for help, and we will probably be in trouble for setting this up for him. LOL...
A little about our dad... our dad has spent his entire life putting everyone else's needs before his own. He has a huge heart and would do anything for anyone. Dad is an active citizen in Farmington, NM, who loves being at his camper at the Elks Campground or bowling with his friends at Bowlero. Dad spent over 15 years coaching baseball in the local Farmington community and is a huge Philadelphia Eagles and Chicago White Sox fan. Our dad spent Friday nights with his friends at their favorite hangs. Dad loves spending time with his eight grandchildren fishing, camping, playing baseball, and traveling to watch them play sports.
Doug's tragic accident has drastically impacted his way of life. Doug is facing high expenses for his immediate medical and long-term care needs, including wheelchair-accessible housing, adaptive equipment, additional home modifications, and high transportation costs to rehabilitation facilities. Doug's medical insurance will not cover all of his essential costs.
To those who know my dad, he is the most giving and loving person you could know. He loves his family and his friends. He would be the first to give the shirt off his own back to those in need. Thank you to everyone who donates and/or shares our dad's story!!
