Support Dorci Through Her Cancer Journey
Donation protected
When I think of Dorci Cerrato, I think of life, joy, fun, and BEAUTY (and, of course, a bit of sassiness). Dorci is my older sister, one of my best friends and someone I love deeply and admire profoundly.
A few days after Christmas, 2021, Dorci discovered that she had grapefruit-sized cysts on her ovaries. Within a few weeks, she was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer and had a radical hysterectomy (sending her into early menopause). Within a month, Dorci’s world had turned upside down, and she was facing a terrifying future. The fantastic news is the doctors believe the surgery was successful, and Dorci is currently cancer-free.
Dorci has been through a lot in her life, and her resilience, strength and optimism have carried her through. But sometimes, even the strongest people need some support.
Unfortunately, this harrowing experience will have taken Dorci away from work for three months, and she’s not entitled to paid time off or medical leave, so her inability to work has been hard on her finances. We’re asking for our community’s support to help Dorci through this period, so she can focus on healing from her surgery and recovering from her cancer diagnosis.
Thank you in advance for any support you’re able to give. Feel free to donate here or, if its more convenient, send her some support directly through Venmo: @Dorci-Cerrato
