Hello Friends and Family,

Earlier this week, our beloved Donna lost her husband Rich, after 38 years of marriage. In an effort to show our love and support, we are hoping to alleviate some of the financial strain that inevitably results from losing a spouse. Dealing with such a tremendous loss is hard enough, let alone worrying about finances.

Rich and Donna were married in 1987, and began their life together in Danville, California. They worked together for many years, running a physical therapy business. In 2008, Donna put her teaching degree to use and began working as a substitute teacher for San Ramon Valley Unified School District. She then served as a paraeducator, working with students with special needs. In 2011, Donna moved to Hidden Hills to work in our front office. Three years later, Rich and Donna moved to Livermore, and she became our Office Manager. She continues to shine in this role every single day.

After the physical therapy business closed, Rich took on a new career endeavor. He was an avid swimmer and developed a passion for coaching. He loved teaching everything from infant water safety to strengthening more advanced stroke techniques. He was even featured on an evening news segment, explaining the importance of acclimating children to the water and getting them comfortable at an early age. His students appreciated his patience, sense of humor, and obvious knowledge of skill progression.

Rich and Donna have two children, Cody and Lauren. Cody is currently living in South Africa with his fiance (Kate), while Lauren lives in Idaho with her husband (Jared) and two children, Jameson and Rowan. The rest of Donna's immediate family live in Pennsylvania and Florida.

While her biological family may be many miles away, our Hidden Hills and SRVUSD family are ready to do what we can to show how much we care. Please consider donating whatever you can during this time of loss. Everything helps. We know that Donna herself would never ask for help, so we are asking on her behalf.

Thank you for your love and compassion.
