If you know Dom Bacon, you’ll know he is stubbornly independent, fiercely strong, and absolutely terrible at asking for help. So after much gentle bullying, pestering, arm-twisting (and a few firm words), he has finally agreed to let us set this up on behalf of him and his family.

As many of you already know, Dom is living with a terminal cancer. He’s been doing everything he can to keep life feeling normal for his young son and wife, all while trying to stay positive, and not make a fuss.

Dom has taken on a new mission, called ‘my final miles’ where he has now started running to raise money to give back to Fair Havens and Little Havens Hospice for caring for him and his family. You can read more on his story here;

What he hasn’t done is ask for support for himself, even though things are incredibly hard behind the scenes.

So, this fundraiser is something we can do to give his family some stability now and in the months ahead. Every donation will go directly towards day-to-day living costs, running event costs and helping take some of the pressure off during an unimaginably difficult time.

He didn’t ask for this. But many of us insisted, because he’s done so much for so many, and him and his family deserves support.
