Supporting Deeper Genius Acupuncture

Hi, I'm Portia the founder, owner, and sole acupuncturist at Deeper Genius Acupuncture & Healing Arts.
On March 17th ahead of Los Angeles' Safer at Home Order, I made the difficult decision to temporarily close the doors to my acupuncture practice in an effort to slow the spread of COVID-19. So far with the help of business and personal savings, a few generous donations, and foregoing paying myself since mid-March we have kept the doors open to Deeper Genius at least until May 31, 2020.
With there being no clear indication from the Small Business Association when loans for small businesses will again become available and be distributed, I am leaning on community support to cushion Deeper Genius as I transition into a slow and safe reopening to continue providing care as we weather this storm together.
How will the funds be used?
All #smallbusinessrelief funds raised will be used to cover monthly overhead, procure personal protective equipment (PPE) for both myself and patients, and secure additional cleaning supplies and services for one month. Any funds raised beyond $3500 will be used to replenish an emergency savings for Deeper Genius as I suspect COVID-19 recovery will be an ongoing process beyond 2020.
Your support would mean the world to me. After three years of building a business from the ground up, in fall 2019 I expanded my business into a two room private office so that I could provide a safe, inspiring healing space for anyone who walks through the door. Contributing to the small business relief fund for Deeper Genius will help continue the support for our vibrant community.
