Supporting David's Final Journey - To Be Forever Loved
Donation protected

We are heartbroken by the sudden and tragic passing of our beloved son, brother, and friend, David, who left us unexpectedly on the morning of Saint Patrick's Day, March 17, at just 37 years old.
David was born into difficult circumstances but carried an inner strength that touched everyone who knew him. He navigated life's hardest roads with resilience, humor, and a deeply caring heart beneath it all. Though his journey was complicated, filled with both struggle and hope, he had recently begun a new chapter of independence and optimism in Seattle, Washington.
Sadly, David lost his battle with addiction—a fight he had bravely faced for many years. Despite his struggles, his kindness, warmth, and laughter left lasting impressions on those around him. We choose to remember him not by his hardships but by his generous spirit, vibrant humor, and the love he shared with us.
As our family mourns this tremendous loss, we are reaching out for support in covering funeral and memorial expenses. Your contributions, no matter the amount, will greatly help us honor David’s memory and lay him to rest with the dignity and peace he deserves.
We deeply appreciate your kindness, prayers, and generosity during this painful time. David's memory will forever live on in our hearts, and through your compassion and support.
3/19/25 Update: A Heartfelt Thank You ! ❤️
We are overwhelmed and deeply touched by the incredible support we've received in the last 24 hours. Thanks to your generosity, we've raised over $2,892 from 38 wonderful donors, fully covering the cost of cremation and bringing David home to us.
Your kindness has significantly eased this difficult process and allowed us to start focusing on planning a beautiful memorial to honor David’s memory.
We genuinely couldn't have done this without you. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your compassion and love. We'll keep you updated as memorial plans unfold, and we look forward to celebrating David’s life together.
With sincere gratitude,
Brian, Kaissei, Mikayla, Mom

3/25/25 Update: David’s Coming Home!
We wanted to share another quick update and huge thank you to everyone who’s helped us reach $3,192 from 48 generous donors. David’s body has officially been picked up by the cremation facility in Seattle, and by the end of this week he'll be cremated and finally on his way home to us. We expect to have him back early next week.
We're now fully focused on planning his memorial and wake—celebrating David’s life exactly how he deserves. If you have any photos of David (good, bad, funny, serious—we’d love them all!), please reach out and share them with us. Each memory means the world and helps us honor him in a meaningful way.
Thank you all again for your incredible support. Please continue to share this GoFundMe—every bit helps ensure we can give David the beautiful celebration and send-off he deserves.
With so much gratitude,
Brian, Kaissei, Mikayla, and Mom

4/9/25 Update: David Is Coming Home — Memorial Set for April 26th
We’re incredibly grateful to share that David has officially been cremated and is now in the process of being shipped home. Because of your generosity, love, and support, we’ve raised $3,500 from 51 donors—enough to bring David home and begin preparing a meaningful memorial.
We’re now planning to hold David’s memorial on Saturday, April 26th. Thanks to your help, we’re well on track to give him the celebration he deserves—one filled with love, memories, music, and a sense of peace.
If you knew David and want to be part of the memorial in any way—whether helping out, speaking, sharing photos, or simply being present—please feel free to reach out to me in any way you know how. We’d love for this to be a shared space to grieve, remember, and celebrate together.
Any additional support from here on out will go directly toward the memorial and wake itself—covering food, space, materials, and making it comfortable and accommodating for everyone who attends.
We truly couldn’t have done any of this without all of you. Every share, every donation, every kind message has carried us through some of the hardest weeks of our lives. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for loving David with us.
— Brian, Kaissei, Katherine, Mikayla, and Family ❤️
