Supporting Darcy

On October 11th, our mom Darcy Anderson was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic adenocarcinoma (cancer) and her first chemo treatment is October 23rd.
Prior to this, she hadn't been feeling well with pains in her abdomen. On July 23rd, 2018 at an office visit she found out she had pancreatitis. That was just the beginning. She followed the doctor's instructions and took the medications. We decided with the pain getting worse to take her to the ER the night of September 23rd. A CT scan was done and it revealed a mass on her pancreas. An urgent endoscopy was ordered at Regions Hospital for October 5th. This procedure confirmed the large mass on her pancreas with attachment to the spleen, the beginning of her stomach and involving the lymph nodes.
After this conclusion, we scheduled an appointment with the Oncologist. The following Thursday, we heard the worst news than any son/daughter's should ever hear. More update will follow.
