Cassandra “Cassy” M. (Eyler) Pierce, 40, of Lockport, New York, passed away on Saturday (December 27, 2025) at home surrounded by family under the care of Niagara Hospice. Cassy was born in North Tonawanda, New York, on April 18, 1985, to Brian Eyler and Christina Meredith. She was predeceased by her daughter Paiten Noelle Pierce, who died in 2018. She is survived by her husband, Danny Pierce. Cassy was diagnosed with Squamous Cell Carcinoma in July. She was able to complete 5 rounds of chemo and 31 rounds of radiation before it was too much on her body. The cancer metastasized and went to her spine and lungs, and she developed pneumonia. She was such an inspiration, fought so hard, and loved with open arms.
Her husband Danny needs your help. He has now suffered the loss of his 9-year-old daughter Paiten, who died in 2018 from a childhood heart condition, and now his wife just 7 years later.
Last year, Dan lost his longtime job at Sumitomo Rubber, formerly known as Dunlop, when they closed their doors permanently. He started working again this past spring, but then Cassy was diagnosed with oral cancer. He used all his FMLA at his new company and was forced to resign. He has spent since August tirelessly by her side. He has devoted his entire life to giving her and his children the best life possible.
The funds raised will help Cassy’s husband Danny with the funeral costs, living expenses, and to get his life back on track as he hasn’t worked since August and doesn’t have much savings left at all.
