Hi everyone,
I’m creating this GoFundMe on behalf of my dear friend Danielle, who is facing an incredibly tough battle with courage and grace.
In early September, Danielle received devastating news that doctors had found stage 3 cancer on her ascending colon. She underwent major surgery on September 7, and thankfully, the doctors were able to remove all of the cancer.
While the surgery was successful, Danielle’s fight isn’t over. Her oncology team has recommended six months of precautionary chemotherapy, starting Wednesday, November 5, to make sure no cancer cells remain and to reduce the risk of relapse.
Treatments will take place every two weeks, and each session will require Danielle to take time off work. Depending on how her body responds, she may also need several days to recover after each treatment. Her doctor explained that the side effects can vary — some people only experience mild symptoms, while others can be completely exhausted for days. The final months of treatment are often the hardest.
As you can imagine, this means Danielle will be facing a significant financial strain. Between missed work, travel for treatments, and everyday living costs, the next six months will be challenging.
We are hoping to ease that burden for her — to give Danielle the space to rest, heal, and focus on getting well without worrying about how to make ends meet.
If you are able to contribute, please know that every donation, no matter the size, will make a real difference. Even sharing this page helps more than you know.
Thank you so much for your kindness, love, and support for Danielle as she continues her journey toward full recovery.
With gratitude,
