My name is Dianne Reed, I am starting this gofundme for my nephew, Daniel Hall, who lives in Texas.

For 28 years, my life has been defined by the bell schedule, the buzz of a classroom, and the privilege of helping thousands of students find their way. As a veteran teacher and a father of four, I’ve spent my career pouring everything I have into the next generation. Today, I am facing a challenge I never imagined: a diagnosis of Stage 4 Colon Cancer. I want to be there for my children as they grow, and I want to return to the work that has been my calling for nearly three decades.

While I am grateful to have insurance through my school district, the reality is that “coverage” often falls short of the life-saving treatments, specialized consultations, and daily costs that come with a Stage 4 diagnosis. The financial burden of medical bills, travel for care, and specialized treatment is mounting rapidly, creating a barrier between me and the care I need to survive. I have spent my entire life showing up for my students and my family. Now, I am humbly asking for my community to show up for me.
