Update: Since returning home from surgery, we have received confirmation that Curtis’s tumor is brain cancer. We are now preparing for the next stage of treatment, which will include six weeks of radiation in Edmonton, followed by ongoing chemotherapy for approximately one year.
This next chapter means continued travel back and forth to Edmonton, time away from work, and many additional day-to-day expenses while we focus on Curtis’s care and our family.
We are incredibly grateful for every donation, message, prayer, and share. Your kindness has carried us through these first difficult weeks and allows us to focus on being together and taking things one day at a time.
Thank you for continuing to hold our family in your thoughts.
Hi everyone,
I’m setting this up to help my son in law Curtis and my daughter Megan as they navigate an unexpected medical situation.
Curtis is a husband and a loving father to two young children. As a family run small business, time away for surgery and recovery also brings financial strain, along with the added costs of travel, hotel accommodations, meals, childcare, and time away from work.
My hope in creating this page is to help ease some of that burden so Megan can focus on supporting Curtis and their children, and so their energy can stay where it matters most on healing and being together as a family.
Any support, whether through a donation or by sharing this page, is deeply appreciated. Thank you for the kindness, prayers, and encouragement you’ve already shown our family.
For those who prefer, support can also be sent by e-transfer. Please reach out directly.
With gratitude,
