CT STEM Academy is proud to share that two of our middle school robotics teams have qualified for the VEX IQ Robotics World Championship, taking place April 28–30 in St. Louis. Even more exciting—our teams are representing Connecticut on the world stage! Now, we need your help to get there.
Meet the Teams
The LauraFans
A hardworking team of four students (two returning, two new) who had an incredible season, earning multiple awards including the Create, Innovate, Build, and Teamwork Awards. They are ready to take their success to the next level!
The Calico Cats
An all-girls team of four 8th graders competing in their final season together. They earned top honors including the Excellence Award, Judges Award, Innovate Award, and Design Award, which secured their spot at Worlds. They are also proud to be one of the few all-female teams representing our program at this level.
Why This Matters
At CT STEM Academy in Wallingford, CT, students spend over 6 months designing, building, coding, and competing with their robots. These teams have put in countless hours of dedication to reach this moment—and now they have the opportunity to compete against teams from around the world.
