Hi everyone. My name is Lisa and I have organized this fundraiser in support of my friend Debi Petosky who recently and tragically lost her son. I’m hoping for a bit of generosity from my family, friends, and a bunch of strangers so that we may lift her up financially during this time of need.

Debi’s son Cory passed away two weeks ago. He worked as a developer, software engineer and was an avid gamer. He was a loving son, brother, uncle, and friend.

This sudden loss has affected her and her family’s lives in many different ways. Death is not cheap and with it comes expenses one may not be prepared to deal with.

Debi is a friend and my former supervisor. Working for and getting to know her was a privilege as she quickly became a force that pushed me and a bunch of my coworkers to become better HR Specialists and excel in our careers. She had a lot of knowledge, experience, and crazy stories to share based on her military and Federal civilian service (now retired). Luckily, we have been able to keep in touch over the years even if it was just through Facebook, sending her random boxes full of German chocolate, or by her enabling my Starbucks mug obsession (but I’m pretty sure it is her fault that I drink coffee now). Now it is our turn to provide encouragement and support.

Note: Right now, the fundraiser shows Lisa Thill as the beneficiary. All money (after go fund me takes their fees) will be transferred to Debi Petosky.
