Yesterday, January 30, 2026, Angela Maria Schardt, born March 5, 1984, passed away. Angie was a mother, daughter, sister, and friend.

Above all else, she was a mother. She leaves behind her son, Cody, who carries her love with him always. Her love for him never wavered, even during her hardest struggles. Her sudden passing has left our family devastated however we believe she is finally at peace.

Angie loved her son fiercely. She was his comfort, his protector, and his best friend. In their spare time they loved going rock hounding, fishing and camping. Cody enjoyed playing football in his first year of high school, and he loves watching games and is a big 49er fan. He loves cars and dirt bikes and bonding over that with his grandparents.

Losing his mom has created not only deep emotional pain, but also financial uncertainty during an already overwhelming time.

I am creating this GoFundMe to support my nephew Cody as he navigates life after this loss. Funds raised will help cover immediate needs such as cremation and arrangements for his mother’s funeral, living expenses, clothing, school supplies, counseling, and future educational support, allowing him some stability while he grieves.

Cody’s 15th birthday is this Wednesday, February 4th. This should be a time where he is celebrating and thinking of getting his permit and hanging with friends.
