**Help Support Coco and the Anderson Family**

Hi, my name is Katie Farrow, and I’m a close friend of the beautiful Anderson family.

I’ve created this GoFundMe page to support their daughter Coco and her family as they navigate the unimaginable — a childhood cancer diagnosis.

Just three weeks ago, in mid-June, 7-year-old Coco was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive tumour in and around her spine and psoas muscle.

Since then, Coco and her parents, Juanita and Paul, have been at Perth Children’s Hospital. Their world has been turned upside down. Coco has undergone countless medical procedures — including X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, blood tests, biopsies, anaesthetics, and painful surgeries. Watching your child endure this level of pain and uncertainty is every parent's worst nightmare.

On Thursday, June 26th, Coco bravely underwent an 11-hour surgery — the first of many to come. Two surgical teams worked to remove the majority of the tumour, which had severely eroded three vertebrae from T12 to her sacrum. The team successfully reconstructed her spine, giving her a new chance at stability and healing.

Coco is now awaiting a second major surgery to remove the remaining tumour in her psoas muscle.

Her road to recovery is long and uncertain. She will require MRIs every three months to monitor for tumour recurrence, and spinal surgeries every six months to lengthen and replace the hardware in her back as she grows.

Paul and Juanita are devoted parents to four beautiful daughters — Sophie, Mali, Coco, and little Sunny. Based in Dunsborough, the family is juggling hospital stays in Perth, school routines, and work commitments with the support of their amazing community. Paul is doing his best to continue working while travelling up and down to Perth every few days to be with his family. Juanita has not left Coco’s side since the diagnosis.

This fundraiser is to help ease the financial burden on the Andersons — from medical expenses and travel, to household bills and the significant loss of income for both Paul and Juanita — so they can focus on what truly matters: being together and supporting Coco through her recovery.
