Supporting Claire through her cancer battle

We have set up this go fund me page to help support our good friend Claire though her cancer journey. Claire has a little boy, Finley, who is her absolute world and a dotting husband Mark. Her cancer story began 5 years ago when she discovered a large mole, Claire battled through treatment and after a year was given the all clear.

Once out of remission she was able to enjoy day to day activities and return to work.

In July 2021 Claire found the agonising truth that the cancer has returned, she had an operation in September to remove it. In December Claire went for her check up and found out the Cancer had returned to the area again and had also spread to her Lungs. Understandably this has turned Claire’s world upside down .

Doctors have gave claire a 50/50 chance of recovery.

For any mother to hear the news that she only has a 50% chance to watch her 11 year old son grow up is unthinkable.

As if that is not enough to deal with Claire lost her baby girl Hollie May at 9 week old, while she was dealing with the Cancer the first time around 5 years ago. My strong brave friend has really had a tough time but that didn’t stop her arranging fundraisers for Alder Hey after Hollies death.

Its now our time now to help and support a beautiful friend create memories with Finley and take the financial pressure off the family during this extremely heartbreaking and difficult time.
