Supporting Christine Marie Ayala

Our family recently received news that my mom, Christine has breast cancer.

My mom Christine is a wonderful person who has worked her whole life with zero rest days and no vacations. She is a mom, a grandma, a wife, sister, daughter, friend and teacher. She raised me on her own on a single income with no child support for most of my childhood and I can’t imagine where I would be today if it wasn’t for her.

My mom has struggled her whole life to make ends meet and unfortunately with this recent news she is in no way prepared financially for the path she is about to embark on. This diagnosis means time away from work for surgery, radiation and possibly chemotherapy treatments (we are waiting on gene testing to find out if she will end up going down that path).

The gene testing alone is pricey and insurance doesn’t cover all of her medical expenses. She will also be responsible to her out of pocket expenses for her surgery, radiation treatments etc. In addition, my mom is being treated in Newport Beach and with gas prices and the amount of trips she will need to take down there gas cards would be greatly appreciated.

We as a family want my mom to be able to rest, recover and heal properly without having to worry if she will be able to pay her bills. This is the last thing we want to weigh heavy on her mind during this time.

We are asking our family, friends and the public to donate to the cause during this time of difficulty and uncertainty to ease some of the burden.
