UPDATE: Please read the last update comment regarding my our sweet, sweet soul that has left this earth.
JD Amiss JR (aka. Chip, Chipper, or Daddio to me) is the ultimate optimist. He’s loving, giving, kind, and any one who knows him well would say he’s just a good soul.

Recently, my Dad found out he had a malignant squamous cell carcinoma at the base of his tongue on the right side. Luckily surgery was an option with the chance of radiation post surgery. We are now in the good hands of surgeons at Shands in Gainesville, FL. Go Noles! I’m sure he’d approve of me to throwing that in there.
He had some complications during surgery, and a few additional set backs along the way, such as pneumonia. A 3 - 5 day stay has turned into Day 11 and at least a week left. I have faith this tough dude will pull through soon. Even without unexpected bumps in the road he has a somewhat long recovery road ahead of him. As anyone who’s had surgery before or cared for someone post surgery knows healing always takes more time than we’d like.
If there’s one thing that makes life’s lemons and unexpected obstacles easier is knowing that you don’t have to worry about your financial livelihood. I would do anything to reduce his stress. It’s never easy to ask someone for assistance, especially with what has been going on as of late (i.e., 2020 has thrown punches at all of us). Your donation will go to time out of work to pay business rent, travel related costs for post op appointments , and any out of pocket medical expenses, if any. Anything helps and is more than appreciated!
Thank you for all the love and support we are already receiving! That is truly the greatest gift!

Proud daughter of this goofball!
