Our Family's Fight for Survival

My name is Sharaf, and I am reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for your compassion and support.

We are a family of 12 people struggling to survive in Gaza, where every day has become a fight for the most basic necessities. Access to food, clean water, medicine, electricity, and safe shelter has become incredibly difficult. We are currently living in a tent that cannot protect us from the freezing cold of winter or the unbearable heat of summer.

We never imagined we would have to ask strangers for help, but today we have no other choice.

My Father's Medical Condition

My father is 63 years old and suffers from high blood pressure and severe spinal problems affecting both his neck and lower back.

He has already undergone two spinal surgeries, yet he still needs a third operation that cannot be performed in Gaza.

Every day he lives with constant pain while we are unable to provide the medical treatment he urgently needs.

My mother also suffers from high blood pressure and depends on daily medication that has become increasingly difficult to obtain.

My Own Medical Needs

I have medical reports confirming that I need a cochlear implant due to severe hearing loss.

Unfortunately, this life-changing treatment is completely beyond my financial means while my family struggles just to survive.

Education Should Not End Because of Poverty

Education has always been our hope for a better future.

Several members of my family are university students, but they cannot continue their studies because tuition fees remain unpaid.

The ongoing lack of electricity also makes it extremely difficult to charge electronic devices and attend online classes.

As for me, my university has withheld my degree for more than one year because I still owe over $5,000 in tuition fees. After years of hard work, I cannot even receive the certificate I earned.

The Youngest Members of Our Family

The children in our family deserve safety, education, and the chance to dream about the future.

Instead, they face uncertainty every day, living in conditions that no child should have to endure. Our tent offers little protection, and every day brings new challenges just to meet our basic needs.
