Help me and my family to evacuate from Gaza ASAP

Hi world, it’s Sharaf

Please read this as if I'm a member of your family. maybe your brother, son or a friend and as if my family who's under death now is yours.

My name is Sharaf Omar Al-Zaaneen. A 5th level in university studying Software Engineer from Gaza.

My family consists of 12 members . I have two brothers (Karam, Bader) and 7 sisters (Heba, Aya, Fulla, Yasmeen, Basma, Malak, Hala), and our parents (Omar, Falastin).

I am an Engineer who was supposed to start her career and achieve the dreams he worked for but found himself losing the city he’s living in and losing any hope of a better future with it. And after a whole 5 years of studying and internship, the war had another idea.

Life Before:

Life After:

Since the war on Gaza started, I lost almost everything,
On 14th October last year, after only one week since the war started, I lost +100 members of my family (father's family) in one second. One rocket was enough to end the life of my uncle and 2 of his sons, aunt and all their sons, daughter, stepdaughters and grandchildren. None of them were left alive.

This was a big shock not only to me, but mostly to my father who lost his brother, sister and their families in a blink of an eye, his life got destroyed again in a worse way.

My loss didn’t end here, because to us Gazans, death knocks our door every single day, every new day under war is a possibility of a new loss.

Home destroyed:
On the 17th of December 2023, I lost my home, destroyed by Israeli Jewish leaving us not only with tired hearts but also without a place to stay in.

Forced displacement:

This loss circle didn’t end here, cause after more than 11 times of being displaced and having to leave our house escaping from rockets and death, until now we can't return home because we are in the south side of Gaza.

I introduced myself at first as a Gazan Engineer with dreams, a guy in his twenties who had career plans and goals to achieve, a human who lost a lot in a short time period. But in this war I’m most importantly a big brother who see his siblings’ future getting lost in front of his eyes, as i see my brothers who didn’t finish their university’s and my sisters who are still young and supposed to be in school, my mom and father now who found themselves forced to start from zero while they were supposed to take breath and retire after raising their children and having a stable life ,as I see them, I made it a mission to myself to save my family or who’s left alive from it, to save their future from all of this and to escape Gaza.

The situation after almost 10 months of this genocide is that Gaza’s borders are unfortunately still closed and no one can get out of it, of course unless you pay the biggest amount of money to save your life and to cross Rafah border to get to Egypt, crossing Rafah border costs around 5000 to 7000 dollars for each person and as a family of 12 persons, the amount of money we have to pay just to get to Egypt seems impossible to afford.

We lived a happy and comfortable life before the war destroyed our lives, home, work, university, and wishes!!
I never imagined asking anyone for help, we were the one who always helped people, but life put us in this situation we should move on and save our life.

Our university studies:
When the war starts at 7.oct the university stopped until now, I wasn't able to complete my last year at university (MY GRADUATION YEAR) The year that i dream about it.
my university is completely destroyed.
Also my sister and brother's couldn't continue their studies.

I’m here to ask for your help not your sympathy, to ask you to take action whether by donating or by sharing this to everyone you know who can help, please read this with your heart and take action as if it’s your family, mom, father, your siblings who are under these conditions.

We hope that a permanent ceasefire and a plan will be reached to support all Palestinians in Gaza, and we are working to provide our families with some hope and immediate relief.
