As most of you know my Mother, Cheryl has been battling stage 4 lung cancer for the past almost 5 years. In the last few months it has progressed very quickly. We ended treatment back in February and signed on with Hospice so she could be comfortable as her body just could not take the chemo anymore and it was time for her to rest. In the last week, things have taken a quick turn. She has said she is tired and ready to go be with Jesus. She was take into Hospice where they have only given her a short time left. We are focusing on just keeping her happy and comfortable in the next couple of weeks as she transitions. Her wish was to be able to go home, which was nearly impossible because she needs around the clock care and lives alone. Wanting to grant one of my Mother's last wishes, I quickly took a leave of absence from work so I can be with her at home to care for her. I also have 3 young children who are staying with me while I care for her. I hate doing this but I am asking for any help, so I can cover my bills , food and gas back and forth from Wilmington to Wallace, as I have to drive the kids to and from school daily as well from her house. Being out of work is a huge strain on me right now as I don't know how I'm going to make ends meet, but I would do anything for my Mother, and she needs me. I thank you all for taking the time to read this and appreciate everything, even if it's just a prayer for my Mother and us during this hard time.
