With broken hearts and deep compassion, we come together to support a mother who has experienced every parent’s worst nightmare—the sudden loss of her teenage son, Caden Fine. Caden is from Birmingham, Alabama, and was in Canada playing hockey.

Cherie is a devoted single mom, a cherished coworker, and someone whose strength and kindness have touched many lives. Her son, Caden, tragically passed away in a car accident while he was in another country. Although Cherie remains here in the United States, the distance and circumstances surrounding his passing have made this loss especially painful and difficult to navigate.

As she grieves the loss of her child, Cherie is also facing the responsibility of honoring Caden’s life while managing shared arrangements and unexpected expenses. During a time when her heart is broken, no mother should also have to carry the weight of financial stress.

This fund has been created to help lift some of that burden and surround her with tangible love and support. The funds raised will assist with necessary arrangements and provide her the ability to step away from work and daily responsibilities so she can grieve, reflect, and begin to heal.

We believe that God is close to the brokenhearted, and we are trusting that He will carry Cherie through this valley—often through the kindness and generosity of others. Every donation, prayer, and share is a way of standing with her, offering comfort, and reminding her that she is not alone.
