Hi, my name is Mary Gallant, and I am a dear friends with Chase and Cohen Larimore and their mother, Christine Lennox. My own sons grew up alongside Chase and Cohen, and I've had the privilege of watching them grow into the remarkable young men they are today.
On July 31, Chase and Cohen lost their father, Michael Larimore, to pancreatic cancer. No matter the circumstances, losing a parent at such a young age is a life-changing loss. Michael believed that life wasn't meant to be watched from the shore, it was meant to be paddled, sailed, hiked, explored, and, occasionally, held together with a little ingenuity. Those who knew him can see that adventurous spirit and resilience reflected in both of his sons.
In the wake of their father's passing, the family is facing unexpected financial challenges that have left fewer resources available for the boys' education than anyone had anticipated.
In just a few weeks, Chase will begin his freshman year at the Colorado School of Mines, where he plans to major in Engineering Physics, a goal he has worked incredibly hard to achieve. His younger brother, Cohen, will be entering his junior year of high school after earning a place at the DECA International Career Development Conference (ICDC) this past year, an accomplishment that reflects his dedication and ambition.
Every dollar donated through this fundraiser will go directly toward helping fund their education and ensuring these two young men can continue pursuing the futures they have worked so hard to build.
As friends of this family, we've watched Chase and Cohen become thoughtful, hardworking, compassionate young men with bright futures ahead of them. We hope to surround them with the same love, encouragement, and generosity that our community has always shown.
If you're able to contribute, thank you. If not, sharing this fundraiser with others is also a meaningful way to support these two deserving young men. Your kindness will help remind them that they are not facing this next chapter alone.
